Q: Is the countertop sealed?
A: We seal every top we produce to ensure deep, vibrant color that stands the test of time. This sealer locks in the natural splendor of your top while at the same time locking out the stains and unwanted food residue associated with inferior concrete products.
Q: Will the countertop scratch or burn?
A: We have taken steps to make your top as scratch and heat resistant as possible. It should last a lifetime with little maintenance. As with all other surfaces, an individual must use a cutting board when cutting, and a hot pad or trivet for hot pans. This will insure the tops lasting beauty.
Q: Will my concrete top crack like my driveway?
A: The concrete that we use is very different from the concrete used in a driveway. We use a mix design developed at HMI Specialities that is harder and more stable than standard concrete. No top of ours has ever cracked after being installed. However, if such a thing were to happen, you can be sure that HMI Specialities always stands behind its product.
